เผยโผรายชื่อผู้เข้าชิงรางวัล MTV VMAs ประจำปี 2020

Lady Gaga และ Ariana Grande มาแรงแซงโค้งจากซิงเกิ้ล Rain on Me

แม้ว่างานประกาศรางวัลเพื่อคนดนตรีบนเวที MTV VMAs ประจำปี 2020 จะไม่ได้จัดอย่างยิ่งใหญ่เหมือนในทุกครั้งที่ผ่านมา เนื่องจากสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของเชื้อไข้หวัดโควิด-19 จึงทำให้ ทางผู้จัดฯ ตัดสินใจจัดงานในรูปแบบออนไลน์ ณ Barclays Center ในเช้าวันจันทร์ที่ 31 สิงหาคม 2020 (ตามเวลาประเทศไทย) ซึ่งจะยังคงยึดมาตรการความปลอดภัย ทั้งการเว้นระยะที่เหมาะสม จำกัดผู้ชมในห้องส่ง เพื่อป้องกันสุขภาพของศิลปิน แฟนเพลง

โดยหากดูจากรายชื่อผู้เข้าชิงในปีนี้ จะเห็นได้ถึงความร้อนแรงของ Lady Gaga และ Ariana Grande สองดีว่าที่ติดโผเข้าชิงคนละ 9 สาขา ซึ่งเป็นผลมาจากการโคจรพบกันในซิงเกิ้ล Rain on Me ถึง 6 สาขาสำคัญ เทียบเท่ากับ The Weeknd ที่วาดลีลาในมิวสิกวิดีโอ Blinding Lights และ Billie Eilish ก็กลับมาติดโผอีกครั้งจากเพลง Everything That I Wanted พร้อมตีคู่มากับ Godzilla จากผลงานของ Eminem และ Juice WRLD, Life Is Good จากการร่วมฟีเจอร์ริ่งใน Future กับ Drake รวมไปถึง The Man ของ Taylor Swift ที่รอลุ้นผลกับรางวัลมิวสิกวิดีโอแห่งปี

ในส่วนสาขาเพลง K-Pop แห่งปีที่แม้จะไม่มีดาวเด่นอย่าง How You Like That จากสี่สาว Blackpink เนื่องจากปล่อยออกมาภายหลังเกณฑ์กำหนด แต่ทว่าทั้งซิงเกิ้ลดังอย่าง Obession ของ EXO และ Psycho ของ Red Velvet รวมไปถึง Someone’s Someone ของ Monsta X ก็เป็นอีกสาขที่แฟนๆตามลุ้นกันแบบไม่ติดเก้าอี้

ทั้งนี้ ความพิเศษใน MTV VMAs ประจำปี 2020 ยังมาพร้อมกับ รางวัลเด่นอีกสองสาขาใหม่ ที่เตรียมมอบให้กับการทำงานของเหล่าศิลปินในช่วงวิกฤติการณ์โควิด-19 ทั้งสาขา Best Music Video from Home และ Best Quarantine Performance

โดยผลรางวัลทั้ง 15 สาขาหลักพร้อมเปิดให้แฟน กระหน่ำโหวตกันได้แล้วที่ http://www.mtv.com/vma/vote/
